Fascia is a bubbly gel like substance made up of elastin, collagen, and fluid that is found through out your body.  It is constantly remodeling in response to sustained forces such as gravitational forces in posture, or scarring from a wound.  What's so exciting is that Fascia is manually movable! The body can actually be reshaped with a strong coupling of manual manipulation of the fascia and intentionally changing movement patterns.  Somewhat of a newer term in mainstream anatomy and physiology, the findings and research about this body system is changing the way we see the body and movement. From the work of explorers like Tom Myers and Gil Hedley, I have been inspired to study and practice understanding and manipulating this system for profound change.  To know your anatomy is to know yourself.  And it is never too late to rehab and reshape your tissue!
